Divisions - Main Contracting

The Main Contracting division of Bodill Construction has a wealth of experience and knowledge which has been gained throughout over a century of trading in the construction industry. Being founded in 1890 it has vast experience in carrying out all types of building projects from new build to refurbishment, in many types of public and private sectors, under all procurement routes and forms of contract and has a well established reputation for quality and craftsmanship.

The Main Contracting division has been grown organically, in a controlled manner, without ever compromising on the quality of service provided and with a low staff turnover. We are able to offer a continuity of staff to its clients. Its average project values are between £200k through to £6m, on projects throughout the Midlands and surrounding counties. Through directly employing its own highly skilled craftsmen, tradesmen, multi-trade and general operatives, traditional and best practice techniques are provided to ensure quality is not compromised and projects delivered to the highest possible standards.

Whilst still operating as a general contracting organisation, the quality of the supply chain is critical to the overall success of our projects. Longstanding relationships have been established with a number of key sub-contractors and suppliers who ensure that the quality of service/product is maintained, programmes achieved and a competitive nature is maintained.

Increasingly more and more of its work load is procured on a Design and Build basis, whether this be through novated consultants or directly through our own carefully selected design professionals. We are able to manage the whole project, taking over full responsibility and ensuring that the required skills and disciplines are available to meet the employer’s requirements. Through this multi disciplined approach we are able to ensure that the buildings are designed in excellence, incorporate high quality and craftsmanship and provide best value for the client with the ultimate aim of handing over the project on programme and fully satisfying the clients building needs. With the wide range of experience which the Company possesses it is able to offer a total build solution on any type of project, across all market sectors, through tried and tested hands on management techniques, advance planning and a controlled product ensuring maximum productivity, efficiency and quality is achieved.
